Children's Sunday School Instructions

Thank you so much for volunteering to work with our kids! One of our priorities at New Life Fellowship is to bring the messages of the Bible to our younger generation in ways that will be easily understood, fun and most of all remembered as they grow older. Hopefully they will then pass the lessons they’ve learned from you onto the generation that follows them. Below are some helpful tips to help you prepare for your lesson. *The kids will be dismissed to go downstairs during the Greet Your Neighbor portion of the service. 

*Most lessons will take place in the Fellowship Hall, but you are welcome to use the classroom next to the nursery for games/activities also. There is no furniture in there to get in your way. 

*We have lesson books that you can use to find a lesson. You are also more than welcome to use a lesson that you find elsewhere on your own. If you do use a lesson from one of the church books, please initial and date it so we won’t repeat it.

*The lessons are in a bag that you can either get after church the week before you teach or ask Janet (641-990-0094) or Renee (641-295-0426) for it. They will usually know where it can be found. There are extra coloring sheets you can use for lessons or if you need an extra activity in the bag.

*Supplies such as markers, scissors, glue, treats, etc are located in the cupboard under the TV in the Fellowship Hall. If there is anything that needs to be replaced or added contact Renee or Janet.

*Renee will run off lessons, coloring sheets or craft items that you might want to use if needed. Just contact her by Wednesday if possible.

*The first week of each month communion will be set up for the kids. This can be done whenever it fits into your lesson.

*Encourage the kids to pray. If you ask for volunteers to pray you likely will get some. If not, they can repeat John 3:16, the Lord’s Prayer or the 23rd Psalm (poster hanging on the west wall).
